March 10, 2008Congrats to Frank (MCR)!
PRC would like to congratulate Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance) and his blushing bride Jamia on their wedding Sunday. Apparently a good time was had by all, which comes as no surprise.
Speaking of Frank and Jamia, PRC's upcoming issue has an interview with Mr. Iero himself, who talks to us about "Skeleton Crew", a book publisher, record label and clothing designer helmed by Frank and Jamia and a few good pals. Be sure to check out the new issue hittin' Hot Topic and other bookstores this spring!

Still recovering from The Fest
Uggghhhh...I just returned from the Fest in Gainesville, Florida. After 17 hours of traveling (no shit!) I finally made it back to the west coast. It is good to be home alhough the Fest did not disappoint!
First night, Naked Raygun. What else is there to say? They are one of the quintissential punk bands of our time and I feel honored to have seen them. What a rad way to spend a Friday night! I was a little surprised at their set list, but as they are about to embark on a US tour, I won't give anything away. Please, just go see them. Especially all you youngsters who may never have seen a "real" punk band. Ha ha. The second day I think the highlight for me personally was Dead To Me. I have been listening to their record a lot but I gotta say I never EVER expected them to be as awesome as they were. They were f-ing rad and tight and just a great band to see live. GO SEE THEM! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE...THEY ARE WONDERFUL! The rowdiest crowd of the weekend was, by far, for my friends the Lawrence Arms. Kids were practically climbing on the stage, over each other and screaming every word. And with good reason- Lawrence Arms are a fantastic band and so fun to listen to and great dudes all around. The last night found me watching the Draft who I can honestly say boast the tightest rhythm section not only in punk rock but in all of music. They fuckin' locked it in all while making it look effortless. I feel sorry for you if you have never listened to them. And again I urge you to see them live if you have the chance. The grand finale came from Seaweed. Ah, Seaweed. The most unsuspecting punk rockers you will ever rock the fuck out to. Rumor has it they are putting out a new record so it looks like you kids may have the chance to catch them on tour sometime in the near future. Get it while it's hot. Obviously this is the very, very short version of what went down at the Fest. Stay tuned to the paper version of PRC for all the juicy details surrounding the Fest and its unsurpassed line-up. Later for now kiddies!

September 22, 2007Really, DJ Rossstar?
I think it is really "funny" that this guy posted one of the greatest bands to come out of Florida as "Limp Bizkit". Well, you know what PRC has to say about that! What happened to Hot Water Music? The Draft? At least our friends in Against Me made the "elite" list.
